RHE Prepares for National Launch in Abuja

Renewed Hope for the Elderly is finalising preparations for its national launch in Abuja, a landmark moment for elder welfare in Nigeria.

Renewed Hope for the Elderly & Senior Citizens (RHE) is entering the final stages of preparation for its national launch, scheduled to hold at the Banquet Hall, Aso Villa, Abuja. The event will formally introduce RHE as a national platform dedicated to the dignity, welfare, healthcare access, safety, and social protection of elderly Nigerians, and will bring together government representatives, development partners, healthcare institutions, corporate organisations, and community leaders from across the federation.

The launch marks a deliberate shift in how the nation approaches the welfare of its senior citizens. Rather than treating elder support as an occasional act of charity, RHE presents a structured, measurable, and nationally coordinated model of care. Preparations over the past weeks have focused on programme design, partnership readiness, volunteer coordination, and the delivery frameworks that will guide RHE's five flagship programmes across Nigeria's six geopolitical zones.

In the lead-up to the event, the secretariat has prioritised institutional credibility and transparency. Beneficiary registration systems, data protection standards, and reporting frameworks are being established so that every commitment made at launch can be tracked and accounted for. This groundwork reflects RHE's conviction that a national movement for elder welfare must be built on structure and accountability, not sentiment alone.

Inspired by the Renewed Hope Agenda and its commitment to inclusive national development, the launch will call on partners across the public and private sectors to invest in the welfare of Nigeria's elders. Details on invitations, sponsorship opportunities, and media accreditation are available through the national launch page, and the secretariat welcomes early engagement from all who wish to be part of this historic beginning.
